MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin State Patrol spent $5.7 million to protect Governor Scott Walker, first lady Tonette Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch from 2011 through 2013. The governor’s office released spending records today for the patrol’s Dignitary Protection Unit. The unit spent more than $1.2 million in 2009 and 2010 to protect Governor Jim Doyle.
