A Fond du Lac resident wants the city council to take action restricting parking on his street during the youth baseball season. At their meeting Wednesday night the council will vote on an ordinance that would prohibit parking during the May 1 to Sept. 1 baseball season on both sides of Springs Road from Southview Road to a gravel parking lot. Police officer Dan Wilson, who resides on Southview Road, said he believes the area is congested and unsafe with parked vehicles. In a letter to the city engineer Wilson says its just a matter of time before someone is hit. But another neighbor said they believe Wilson’s squad and personal vehicle parked in the street can make it difficult to see cars and does not believe parking restrictions on Springs Road are necessary.
