The Fond du Lac city council is being asked to make a one time contribution of $10,000 to help fund a strategic plan for the city. City Manager Joe Moore will discuss the proposal at tonight’s council meeting. Moore says the idea was raised last fall by a Leadership Fond du Lac project the team questioned why there was not an overall community vision for the greater Fond du Lac area. Moore says the Leadership Fond du lac team determined Houseal Lavigne Associates LLC of Chicago was deemed best consultant for the project that will culminate with publication of a “community vision” and strategic plan document. Council will be asked whether it supports a one-time $10,000 contribution toward the consultant fee that is estimated at around $75,000. Several organizations have tentatively pledged to contribute $10,000 or $15,000 each.
