Fond du Lac County sheriff Mick Fink has been re-elected by a landslide. Fink easily defeated Fond du Lac police detective Bill Ledger in Tuesday’s primary election with 7395 votes to 2425 for Ledger. “We said all along we were going to try to be deliberate, appropriate and hopefully effective and I think we did that,” Fink told WFDL news. “I’m really thankful to the voters of Fond du lac County that saw through a lot of things that were out and about, so I’m thankful.” Fink says his victory is reminiscent of sheriff Gary Pucker’s landslide victory over police chief Duane Johnson more than a decade ago. Pucker won that race with 75 percent of the vote.
