Fond du lac police had their guns drawn this week after receiving reports of possible gunshots fired…but after briefly detaining a couple no arrests were made. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says police were called to a residence in the area of Merrill Avenue and Marquette Street Wednesday afternoon for a report of a disturbance involving yeling and screaming with possible gunshots fired. Klein says police set up a perimeter and made contact with two people inside the home. He says the couple was briefly detained but after further investigation it was determined no gunshots had been fired and the couple was released.
