On Tuesday September 16, 2014 at 6:07pm, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 60 near County Highway P in the Township of Rubicon. Preliminary investigation shows that numerous vehicles were traveling eastbound on Sth 60 and had stopped due to a traffic backup near Cth P. An eastbound pickup truck failed to stop and struck the rear of another vehicle, causing a chain reaction that resulted in 5 vehicles being involved in the crash. There were a total of 12 persons in the 5 vehicles, 7 of which were injured and transported to Hartford and Summit Hospitals for treatment. One person was killed as a result of the crash. The person killed was Cheryl M. Notz, 69 years of age from Warren, Missouri.

26 year old female from Iron Ridge, Wisconsin
56 year old female from Hartford, Wisconsin
85 year old male from Missouri
84 year old male from Hustisford, Wisconsin
81 year old female from Hustisford, Wisconsin
35 year old female from West Bend, Wisconsin
Agencies assisting the Sheriff’s Department were: Hartford EMS, Lifestar EMS, Hartford Police and Fire, Neosho Fire and 1st Responders, DCERT, Flight for Life and Dodge County Medical Examiner. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department Crash Investigation Team.
