10-1-14 medical college grant

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Medical College of Wisconsin has received a $2.5 million federal grant for genetics research.  The center will use the four-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to analyze the genes of patients with undiagnosed diseases. 9-30-14 domestic violence homicides

The group End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin says there were 55 domestic abuse related homicides last year.  The organization released the figures In its annual report Monday.  End Domestic Abuse  policy director Tony Gibart says there were 39 domestic violence homicide,  ten perpetrators who committed suicide,  four individuals who were perpetrating domestic violence who were killed by law enforcement, and two other individuals who committed suicide when law enforcement responded.  Gibart says […]
