9-2-14 fatal crash investigations

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating potential criminal charges in all but one traffic fatality in  the county this year.  There have been four traffic fatalities on Fond du Lac County roadways so far this year.  Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says with the exception of a motorcycle vs. deer fatality…three other fatal traffic crashes remain under investigation for possible criminal charges.

9-2-14 fdl county clerk concerned about low voter turnout

The Fond du Lac County clerk says she’s concerned that voter turnout was so light in the recent August primary election.   Lisa Freiberg says turnout was below projections both locally and statewide.  In Fond du Lac County only 23 percent of eligible voters cast ballots.  Freiberg says part of the problem may be that the election is during the summer.  But she says changes that place restrictions on absentee voting […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin apple growers say they expect their crop this autumn to be good or a little above average.  Growers were concerned after last year's unusually heavy harvest.
