MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin election officials are predicting a little more than half of the state's voting-age population will go to the polls next week. The Government Accountability Board officials said today it expects about 2.5 million people will vote Tuesday. That's about 56.5 percent of the 4.3 million people in Wisconsin old enough to vote.

10-31-14 baker cheese expansion

A Fond du Lac County cheese plant is expanding.  The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation says it has authorized up to $800,000 in tax credits to support a $7 million expansion project at Baker Cheese Factory Inc. of St. Cloud.  The project is expected to create as many as 40 jobs.  The amount of tax credits awarded depends on how many new jobs are created.   The WEDC news release says  […]

(AP) — The Dodge County Humane Society says two neglected dogs brought to the shelter weren't abandoned in a dumpster as the man who delivered them had claimed.  Humane Society president Ryan Vossekuil says when police investigated the case of possible animal neglect, they found the man wasn't telling the truth. A Waupun man is in custody following a disturbance involving a group of people.  The  Dispatch Center received a hang up 911 call Wednesday afternoon and when officers arrived on scene they noticed a vehicle attempting to leave the area.  When the officer made contact with this vehicle and occupants he detected the strong order of  marijuana.  Police say the driver was uncooperative and physically fought with officers attempting to […]
