The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer wants to know if you or someone you know has recently returned from West Africa. Public Health officer, Kim Mueller, says those residents need to call public health officials so they can be monitored for symptoms if they are at risk. Mueller says its important for local residents not to overreact and to put the situation into perspective. But Mueller says while the risk of contracting the Ebola virus in Wisconsin remains low she is concerned about mistakes made by hospital officials in Texas and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Mueller says local health care providers are taking their guidance from the state Department of Health Services and CDC.
