10-30-14 taycheeda convenience store armed robbery

Nobody was injured in an armed robbery at a Taycheeda convenience store.  On Tuesday October 29th at 9:26pm the Fond du Lac County Communication Center received a call from E & J Convenience located at N7425 Winnebago Drive in the Township of Taycheedah regarding an armed robbery that just occurred.  Preliminary investigation indicates a white male approximately 5’06” 130-140lbs entered the store and displayed a small black handgun.  The incident […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Gov. Scott Walker is leading Democrat Mary Burke in the last Marquette University Law School poll released before Tuesday's election.  The poll released Wednesday showed Walker with 50 percent support, compared with 43 percent for Burke. (AP) — The last Marquette University Law School poll released just six days before the election shows Republican Brad Schimel slightly ahead of Democrat Susan Happ in the race for Wisconsin attorney general.  The poll released Wednesday shows Schimel with 43 percent support among likely voters compared with 39 percent for Happ. Two weeks ago, Schimel and Happ were tied with 42 percent each. 10-30-14 prison inmate death investigation

JUNEAU, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have concluded that a report of the late 1960s death of an inmate from Waupun State Prison is unfounded.  The Dodge County sheriff's office received a complaint in June about a possible suspicious death of an inmate.
