A Fox Lake man was killed after crashing his car during a high speed chase. Police say 25 year old Ethan Plath died after crashing his car into a tree Monday along Highway 33. The State Patrol says the chase started in Fox Lake, when the police chief attempted to pull Plath’s vehicle over. Plath did not pull over and the chase continued south for nearly 18 miles along Highway 33 with speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour. Plath eventually lost control and crashed into a tree in the town of Trenton.
