MAPLE BLUFF, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker says he’s “willing to look” at changing from nonpartisan to partisan the board that oversees elections in Wisconsin. Walker told The Associated Press on Monday that he will work with both Republicans and Democrats on possible changes to the Government Accountability Board. The board is made of former judges and has been the center of criticism lately from Republicans who control the Legislature. It oversees elections, ethics, campaign finance and lobbying laws. Walker reiterates that he doesn’t know whether the best approach is to modify the current board structure, create something new or go back to the previous system in place before 2008 with separate elections and ethics boards with partisan appointees.
