A Cudahy man has been convicted in connection with a high speed chase that ended in a crash in Fond du Lac.  Twenty eight year old Michael Connerton pleaded no contest to charges of   recklessly endangering safety and eluding an officer.  The August 5th chase started when a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 45 near Eden.  Cudahy police had reported the suspect may be suicidal.  The chase ended when a sheriff’s deputy squad sideswiped the vehicle, pushing it into a parked car.  Another squad hit the car when the suspect’s vehicle attempted to pull ahead.  The two squad cars received minor damage.  Connerton and a passenger were taken into custody at gunpoint.   A sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 25th.
