A North Fond du Lac man accused of racking up thousands of dollars worth of unauthorized purchases on two stolen credit cards is going to prison. Forty seven year old Kevin Emerich pleaded no contest to one count of theft. More than 50 counts of identity theft for financial gain as a repeat offender were dismissed and read into the record. Fond du lac judge Richard Nuss sentenced Emerich to a year and a half in prison with five years extended supervision. North Fond du Lac police chief Darren Pautsch says Emerich purchased more than $8000 worth of cigarettes in 2012 at Fond du Lac Kwik Trip stores and PDQ in North Fond du Lac using his landlord’s U.S. Bank and Menard’s credit cards. Emerich was already serving time in prison on a previous conviction for battery.
