2-2-15 police impersonator involved in mayville armed robbery

Mayville police say a suspect involved in an armed robbery Friday morning was impersonating a police officer.  The incident happened at 11am Friday on Highway TW near Theiler Park.  Police say the suspect was driving a newer model, navy blue Dodge Charger and activated red and blue lights on the vehicle's dash to perform an alleged traffic stop.  The victim, a 56-year-old Watertown man told police that the suspect had […]

1-30-15 fdl spelling bee champion

A Sabish Middle School student is the Fond du Lac spelling bee champion.  Stephen Warner correctly spelled “flamboyant” to win the trophy.  Jack  Rabe of Faith Lutheran finished second and Benji Cole of Redeemer Lutheran School placed third.  Thursday night’s spelling bee was held at the Theisen Middle School Auditorium.
