The Fond du Lac Animal Shelter manager says its too early to say if all 40 cats rescued from a Campbellsport area trailer home this week will survive. Renee Webb says the cats and a dog are recovering at the animal shelter and are being treated for a variety of serious illnesses. “They all have very serious upper respiratory infections, eye infections, very dehydrated, emaciated,” Webb told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. “They’re also covered in urine burns from frequent laying on urine and feces on their paw pads in particular.” Webb has been on the scene of several pet hoarding cases over the years… but nothing like this. “As far as physical condition of a residence this is the worst I’ve ever seen.” The owner of the trailer, a 77 year old woman, was transported to a Milwaukee hospital.
