A former janitor in the Oakfield School District has been convicted of stealing money from the junior-senior high school. Forty seven year old Mark Hoffman pleaded guilty last month to one count of burglary. Two counts of theft and one count of burglary were dismissed and read into the record. Fond du lac judge Dale English withheld sentence and placed Hoffman on three years probation with six months in jail. According to a criminal complaint Hoffman was captured on a security camera entering the school vault, wearing a hooded sweatshirt that covered his head and face. He later admitted to stealing money from 10 straight sporting events at the school.
