The director of the Wisconsin Propane Gas Association says Governor Walker’s declaration of an Energy Emergency is a good proactive approach following last winter’s propane shortage. The governor announced Friday the state of emergency was being declared as a precautionary measure in response to unexpected, intermittent service interruptions on the Mid-American East-Blue pipeline at the Janesville terminal. Association director Brandon Scholz tells WFDL news this is one of a number of steps taken in the past year to avoid another propane shortage like the one that impacted the Midwest last winter.
