The total number of traffic fatalities on Wisconsin roads last year was the fewest in more than seven decades…the numbers were up slightly in Fond du lac County. Statewide there were 491 traffic fatalities in 2014, the first time below 500 since 1943 when 417 people died in highway crashes. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says there were ten traffic fatalities in Fond du Lac county…all of them in the second half of the year. Olig says none of the traffic fatalities locally were alcohol related.
