1-14-15 marian university veteran of the month

January 2015 Veteran of the Month
Justin Pesch was selected as Marian University’s January Veteran of the Month.  Pesch served in the United States Marine Corps from 2008-2012,  and worked in the Combat Operation Center in Afghanistan from 2011-2012. Pesch continues to serve the local community through several organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Wounded Warrior Project and Salute the Troops. Pesch is a student at Marian, where he is majoring in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security. He will be graduating in May 2015. The Veteran of the Month contest, presented by Marian University and Sunny 97.7/96.1 WTCX, highlights one area veteran each month.  Each veteran chosen will receive a plaque, an appreciation package from Marian University and Sunny 97.7’s sponsors, including a 3 credit undergraduate class which can be redeemed in winter or summer session 2015, or in any of the adult undergraduate sessions. In addition, recipients will be honored with a monthly ceremony at Marian University, and have the opportunity to share their story on the radio.
