A Fond du Lac man accused of failing to prevent his wife from abusing two children has avoided trial. Troy Riehl pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor counts of neglecting a child and a deferred prosecution agreement was reached on two felony counts of failing to protect a child. Judge Dale English placed Riehl on two years probation. Earlier this month 46 year old Jeana Riehl pleaded no contest to two counts of child abuse. She will be sentenced in March. According to a criminal complaint Riehl was accused of abusing two boys for a period of several years…striking them with a rolling pin, cutting board, horse whip and hunting arrow and locking one of the boys in a bathroom for weeks.
