1-15-15 senate primary

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Government Accountability Board has set a Feb. 17 three-way primary for Glenn Grothman’s Senate seat.  The winner of the primary will likely take the seat because no Democrats or independents are running in the April 7 election. A GOP win would increase the Republican margin in the Senate to 19-14.  The board on Tuesday removed a fourth Republican candidate, Fred Utecht of Belgium, from the ballot. He failed to collect the 400 nomination signatures. The three candidates on the ballot are former state Rep. Duey Stroebel, Ozaukee County Board Chairman Lee Schlenvogt, and Tiffany Koehler of Slinger, who made an unsuccessful run for the state Assembly last year.  Grothman was elected to Congress last November.
