A Fond du Lac teenager was arrested after police say he sent a fake text message to a friend that he shot himself and needed to go to a hospital. Police say the 17 year old boy was a passenger in a car when he sent the message. The friend called police who located the boy shortly thereafter. He admitted to officers he sent the text as a joke. He was cited for disorderly conduct.
