MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is headed to the United Kingdom for a trade mission next month. Walker on Wednesday announced that he would be leading the effort Feb. 9 through Feb. 13. Walker’s office says the mission will focus solely on attracting foreign investment to Wisconsin, especially those planning to expand in the U.S. over the next three years. The trip comes a week after Walker is to introduce his two-year state budget. It also comes as Walker is considering a run for president. On Monday, Walker said he expected to also lead a trade mission to Israel this year. The trip is to include a round table meeting with business leaders and a networking breakfast with University of Wisconsin alumni. No itinerary for the trip was immediately released.
