2-26-15 fdl woman gets prison for stealing from business

A Fond du lac woman convicted of stealing more than $250,000 from her employer is going to prison.  Fond du Lac Judge Richard Nuss sentenced 48 year old Denise Heffner to six years in prison followed by 15 years extended supervision.  Heffner earlier pleaded no contest to two counts of  theft from a business setting…accused of stealing the money from Sesing Construction where she was employed as a bookkeeper.

2-26-15 fdl man convicted in police shoot out

A Fond du lac man involved in a shootout with police a little more than a year ago has been convicted.  At a hearing Wednesday afternoon in Fond du lac County Circuit Court Shannon Rogler entered no contest pleas to multiple counts including recklessly  endangering safety with a  dangerous weapon.  Rogler was initially charged with attempted homicide.  That charge was dismissed and read into the record.  District attorney Eric Toney […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state Senate has passed a fast-tracked right-to-work bill with no Democratic support.  The measure now heads to the state Assembly, which plans to take it up next week.
