Three people were injured in a pickup truck versus semi accident Wednesday night in Dodge County. The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 33 and County Trunk P in the Town of Herman. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says a pickup towing a trailer, driven by 36 year old Bradley Strobel of Neosho, entered the intersection from Highway P and was struck by the semi tractor trailer unit driven by 53 year old John Wiseman of Bell Fountain, Ohio. The truck and trailer traveled off of the roadway and overturned in a pond. Bradley Strobel sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to Hartford Hospital, but was later transferred to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee. A passenger, in Strobel’s vehicle, 67 year old David Strobel of Neosho sustained life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life helicopter to Froedert Hospital. Wiseman sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Joeseph’s Hospital in West Bend. The accident remains under investigation.
Four people were injured in a two vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Dodge County. The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 16/60 and County Trunk T in the Town of Elba. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says a car driven by 21 year old Dakota Szychowski of Waterloo entered the intersection and was struck by a van driven by 63 year old Grant Steger of Juneau. A passneger in the van, 61 year old Kelly Steger of Juneau, sustained severe injuries and was transported to Columbus Hospital but later flown by MedFlight helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. A second passenger in the van, 66 year old Patricia Vandeberg of Waupun, and both vehicle drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Columbus Hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
