A West Virginia man accused of violently spanking a Waupun toddler has been charged. Twenty two year old William Streets is charged in Dodge County Circuit Court with physical abuse of a child-intentionally causing bodily harm and obstructing an officer. According to a criminal complaint a worker at The Wee Care Day Care Center in Waupun reported the alleged abuse to the Dodge County Department of Social Services a little more than a year ago after noticing bruising on the child’s buttocks. The child’s mother told the worker that the toddler had fallen down stairs at their Waupun home. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 7th.
