Two people were seriously injured in a two vehicle crash on Highway 41 in Dodge County Sunday. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on USHY 41 near the STH 49 overpass, Town of Lomira. Preliminary investigation shows that Tammy M. Ragsdale (45 years old, from Kenosha, WI) was operating a 2004 Dodge Dakota north bound on USHY 41. Andrew J. Fritchen (27 years old, from Kansasville, WI) was operating a 2013 Freightliner south bound on USHY 41. The Dodge Dakota lost control causing the vehicle to enter the median. While in the median, the Dakota rolled multiple times and came to rest on its passenger side. The Dakota continued to slide on its passenger side into the south bound lane of USHY 41. The Dodge was then struck by the south bound Freightliner. Tammy Ragsdale sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Agnes and later transported by EMS to Theda Clark Hospital. Richard A. Ballwanz (50 years old, from Waukesha, WI) was a passenger in the right front seat of the Dodge Dakota, he sustained serious injuries and was transported to Theda Clark Hospital. Andrew Fritchen was the driver of the semi and was uninjured in the crash. USHY 41 south bound was closed for approximately 3 hours while the crash was being investigated. Assisting at the scene was: Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Brownsville Fire Department, Fond du Lac EMS, Brownsville First Responders, Mayville EMS, Brownsville Police Department. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
