A Fond du lac landmark restaurant will be featured on Wisconsin Public television next month. The emmy-nominated show Wisconsin Foodie will feature Schreiner’s restaurant in their final episode of the season April 14th. The show’s host, Kyle Cherek, says Schreiner’s is a slice of Americana and a destination point for decades for motorists traveling the state along Highway 41. “Its one of the most amazing restaurants we have in our American heritage. Its beyond classic, its preserving and moving forward a really crucial aspect of America’s cuisine,” Cherek told WFDL news. “All roads lead to Schreiner’s, I mean we had a governor that thought it should have its own zip code.” Schreiner’s has been around for nearly eight decades and owner Paul Cunningham says not many restaurants can say that. “Its miraculous, I mean when you consider the changes both in people’s habits and politics and everything, to have this timelessness is a gift.”
