Fond du Lac firefighters quickly extinguished a grass fire that started in the ditch off Highway 41 in Fond du Lac. Fire Dpeartment’s Troy Haase says the fire was in the ditch along the northbound lanes of 41 just north of Highway 151. “It was a pretty good (size) fire it ended up being a few acres, probably spread a few hundred feet along the road and then it went up over hill a little bit toward Camelot Drive but we were able to get it shut down before it went too far,” Haase told WFDL news. Haase says it may have been started by a motorist tossing a cigarette out of their car window.
