KIEL, Wis. (AP) — The young trooper killed in a confrontation with a bank robbery suspect in Fond du Lac has being laid to rest. A private funeral service for 21-year-old Trevor Casper, attended by family and members of the Wisconsin State Patrol was held Monday in Kiel. Hundreds of people packed into Kiel High School for a memorial Sunday. Casper died last Tuesday in an exchange of gunfire with Steven Snyder, the man authorities suspect also killed Thomas Christ in Wausaukee after robbing a bank there hours before the shootout. Snyder was from Koylton Township, Michigan, about 70 miles north of Detroit in the state’s rural Thumb region.
