Onlinemastersprograms.org has identified Marian University within the top 10 of its list of the top Catholic colleges with online programs. Marian ranks no. 8 on the list, and is the only school in Wisconsin selected. Marian was rated among the website’s database of more than 1,000 colleges and universities across the nation who offer online special education master’s degree programs. “According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there is a great demand for individuals with special education degrees, especially as classrooms across the nation become inclusive learning environments,” said Stacey Akey, vice president for Enrollment Management. “At Marian, we strive to offer quality, relevant and valuable programs for working adult students interested in achieving their undergraduate or graduate degree in a format that meets their needs.” Marian’s Master of Arts in Education – Special Education program is offered in a 100% online format, with two field placements and a student teaching experience that can be embedded in one’s current teaching role. In addition, Marian University now offers a traditional undergraduate degree in Special Education.
