Fond du Lac Festivals, Inc. has announced the newest addition to Walleye Weekend 2015: The Walleye Weekend Wine Bar. The Wine Bar is sponsored by River Bend Vineyard & Winery and, in addition, proceeds from The Wine Bar will benefit the Marian University Working Families Grant Program. The WFG Program awards tuition and stipend grants to disadvantaged single parents who possess the desire to obtain a four-year undergraduate degree. “Currently, we provide WFG participants assistance with tuition, housing, food and child care stipends,” Coordinator of Special Events at Marian University, Ashley Eckert said. Donna Sachs, owner of Riverbend Vineyard & Winery, says she looks forward to sponsoring the Walleye Weekend Wine Bar and working alongside Marian University. “Festivals are a great way to meet new people and share our product and our story,” Sachs said. River Bend Vineyard & Winery will offer Magenta, Moonlight, Riesling, and River Bend Blend wines from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14 at the Wine Bar on Fountain Island.
