It appears that things are back on track for an Iowa developer to build a student housing facility at the UW Fond du lac. After earlier asking for a delay the developer Bluffstone now hopes to start construction of the Fond du lac project this year. County executive Al Buechel says Blufstone hopes to be able to open the new facility at the start of the second semester in 2016. The problems occurred when subcontractors complained about the lack of payment involving similar developments in Baraboo and Marshfield.. The county was considering re-opening bids on the Fond du lac project. But Buechel says the Marshfield and Baraboo projects are done and the county is waiting to hear from Bluffstone on when the UW Fond du Lac project can start.
