4-16-15 wisconsin unemployment down

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s unemployment rate has dropped to 4.6 percent, its lowest point since before the recession.  The state Department of Workforce Development reported Thursday that the unemployment dropped from 4.8 percent in February to 4.6 percent in March.  Private-sector job creation plunged, with 5,000 jobs lost in the monthlong timeframe.  The numbers fluctuate month-to-month because they are based on a survey of just 3.5 Wisconsin employers. More accurate quarterly jobs numbers, that aren’t as current, were scheduled to be released June 17.
