A 32 year old Montello woman was taken into custody after allegedly shoplifting from a Fond du lac department store and assaulting the store’s loss prevention officer. Police were called to a shoplifting report at Kohl’s Department store in the Forest Mall Saturday afternoon. Police say the suspect was inside her vehicle and refused comply with officers requests to get out of the car. Police blocked off a portion of N. Pioneer Road near the mall and Fazoli’s restaurant. She was eventually taken into custody. The suspect was arrested for a number of offenses, some felony, that include shoplifting, battery, and obstructing law enforcement. She is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail.
