2014 was a record year for the number of jury days held in Fond du Lac County. Records from the Clerk of Courts Office show there were 87 jury days last year compared to 46 in 2013. There were 46 jury trials in Fond du Lac County last year, up from 23 in 2013. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says the 19 felony jury trials were also a record high. The Clerk of Court’s budget allocated $67,000 for juror’s pay and mileage, but the actual cost was over $89,000. Jurors are paid $40 a day, 51 cents a mile and meals are provided.
