A man from the Netherlands accused of stalking a Fond du Lac High School student has been bound over for trial on new charges. Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing Friday for Hendrikus Descendre on two counts of identity theft to harm a person’s reputation. Descendre was earlier charged with stalking. Police say Descendre flew from the Netherlands to Wisconsin and drove to Fond du Lac where he took pictures of the victim’s high school, a house and park in her neighborhood and posted them on his Facebook page. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Descendre also showed up at the victim’s mother’s workplace. According to the new criminal complaint Descendre pretended to be the victim, by using her name and pictures to create a website, making it appear as though the victim was looking forward to meeting him. Descendre is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $50,000 cash bond.
