On May 24, 2015 at 02:07AM, Fond du Lac Fire / Rescue responded to a report of smoke and flames coming from a residential home at 331 Linden Street. Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy fire on the back side of the home that had extended into the first and second floors of the structure. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, but not before it caused extensive heat and smoke damage to the first and second floor of the residence. No one was home at the time of the fire. Fire crews remained on scene for approximately 2 ½ hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was assisted on scene by the Fond du Lac Police Department, Fond du Lac Sherriff Department, and Alliant Energy.
