6-5-15 bucks-new arena

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Two people familiar with a deal for a new $500 million stadium for the Milwaukee Bucks say taxpayers will contribute $250 million and current and former Bucks owners will pay for the other half.  The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to   discuss details of the deal before a Thursday afternoon news conference with Gov. Scott Walker.  The Republican governor has argued for months that it will cost the state more in lost income-tax revenue if the NBA pulls the Bucks from Milwaukee than it will to pay for a new downtown arena.  State Sen. Alberta Darling says the deal is much better for taxpayers than other arena-financing agreements reached elsewhere across the country.
