A Kenosha  man charged in the  cold case slaying of a Sturdevant teenager in Fond du Lac County was back in court Friday afternoon for his arraignment hearing.  Dennis Brantner entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of  first degree murder in the 1990 death of Berit Beck.  Investigators say they found Brantner’s fingerprints in Beck’s van.  Beck disappeared while driving from her home in Sturdevant to a work seminar in Appleton. Police say she was kidnapped after stopping at the Forest Mall in July of 1990.  Her van was found a short time later  across the street in the Forest Plaza parking lot.  Her body was found about a month later in a roadside ditch near Waupun.  Brantner is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a million dollars cash bail.
