The village of North Fond du Lac has a new acting Fire Chief as the search for a permanent chief/EMS director continues. The North Fond du Lac Police and Fire Commission has approved hiring fire lieutenant, Bruce Pluim as Acting Fire chief. Village administrator, Chuck Hornung, says 19 people from throughout the country have applied for the permanent position. Hornung says he hopes the village can hire a new chief in the next month or two.
