6-25-15 chronic wasting disease

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A white-tailed deer in Eau Claire County has tested positive for chronic wasting disease. The state agriculture department says the doe, which has died, was among 167 animals on a breeding farm. The herd was placed under quarantine. Investigators from the department are working to trace the animal’s movements to see if any other herds would have been exposed.
