Beaver Dam police are continuing their investigation into a shooting outside a Mills Fleet Farm store that injured an assistant store manager. Police detective Ryan Klavekoskie tells WFDL news it appears now the victim was shot once not twice as initially believed. “Our belief now is that this was maybe one shot based on the position of that individual’s arm, struck the wrist and shoulder area,” Klavekoski said. Klavekoskie says the manager was confronting the 17 year old suspected of shoplifting ammunition. He says its fortunate nobody else was hurt. The shooter, a 17 year old from Fitchburg was arrested by Columbus police. An 18 year old accomplice from Verona was also arrested. Klavekoskie says part of the investigation is determining why the individuals were in Beaver Dam.
