MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The conservative Wisconsin Club for Growth is cheering the end of an investigation into allegations that it and other groups illegally coordinated with Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign during his 2012 recall election. The state’s Supreme Court ruled that the state’s campaign finance law doesn’t prohibit such coordination. Attorney Todd Graves accused the government of trying to “threaten and embarrass” groups they don’t like. Prosecutor Francis Schmitz said in an email to The Associated Press that it’s unfortunate people won’t get a public discussion of the facts.
