An Illinois woman faces charges in connection with the death of her infant son. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the 24 year old woman was taken into custody this week. She faces charges of neglecting a child and neglecting a child causing death. Klein says the 14 month old boy was found pulseless and not breathing earlier this month at the Maplewood Commons apartments on the corner of Martin Avenue and Pioneer Road. The child was pronounced dead at St. Agnes Hospital. Klein says there was evidence of abuse and blunt force trauma. Klein says there could be additional arrests made and the investigation is continuing.
