Margaret Pieper was selected as Marian University’s July Veteran of the Month. Pieper served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic and human resources clerk both in the United States and overseas. Pieper graduated this past May from Marian University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. The Veteran of the Month contest, presented by Marian University and Sunny 97.7/96.1 WTCX, highlights one area veteran each month. Each veteran chosen receives a plaque, an appreciation package from Marian University and Sunny 97.7’s sponsors, including a 3 credit undergraduate class which can be redeemed in the traditional undergraduate program or any of adult undergraduate sessions. In addition, recipients are honored with a monthly ceremony at Marian University, and have the opportunity to share their story on the radio.
