GRANTSBURG, Wis. (AP) — A Marine who grew up in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, is among the four Marines who died in a shooting rampage in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Marine Corps identifies him as Sgt. Carson Holmberg, whose service included a deployment to Afghanistan. Grantsburg High School Principal Josh Watt says it’s a sad day in the western Wisconsin community of about 1,300 people. Holmquist graduated in 2008 and Watt was one of his football coaches. He calls Holmquist a great young man who really enjoyed football, hunting and fishing. Watt says he vividly remembers when Holmquist paid a return visit to school after boot camp, in his dress blue uniform. Watt says Holmquist was very proud of his accomplishment of becoming a Marine.
