The Fond du Lac County Highway Commissioner is warning motorists to slow down and be safe in the wake of three workzone fatalities in Wisconsin so far this year. Highway commissioner Tom Janke says highway workers have been killed in Calumet, Shawano and Lincoln counties in April, May and just last week. Fond du Lac County Highway worker Dennis Roesler was killed in a Highway 41 workzone just before Christmas in 2003. Janke says the job of a highway worker is one of the most dangerous behooving that motorists eliminate distractions and slow down when entering workzones.
